Technical Practice
Before we began shooting our promo video we were asked to create a small sequence of edited footage. The sequence had to include the split screen quatered box idea that we saw in the music video A2 production of 'Voodoo Child' on http://getaheadocrmedia.blogspot.com/. This task was to help us get reafamiliarise ourselves with Final Cut Express and to practise editing which we know we will use in our music video. Editing the sequence has made us more confident with using the software and allowed us to experiment with using techniques we have previously been unaware of.

Filming Progress
We have finally started filming! Yesterday we completed all the studio based shots, which make up the majority of the verses of the song according to our storyboard. Applying the make up to our actress turned out better than expected, and with controlled lighting we were able to achieve the atmospheric mood we had endeavoured to create from the start. We also took the opportunity to take photographs to use as a base for our ancillary task (make a poster to promote the band's new release). Here are a couple of shot from the day:

Storyboarding
The following seven pages of storyboarding show snippets of our twenty page overall plans. It shows visual translations of our original ideas and concepts, and is detailed down to every lyrical line. This will help us dramatically when it comes to filming (so we know exactly what and what not to film) and even more so when editing in Final Cut Express.
